The GWM Tank 300 has quickly become one of the most popular mid-size 4x4 wagons in Australia. It is well equipped from the factory, which means owners tend to focus on a handful of high-impact upgrades. Here is how we approach a Tank 300 build.
Roof racks: full length or short
The Venom TQ ARK full-length roof rack gives the most space for tents, awnings and recovery boards. If you want to keep things lighter, the short TQ ARK rack carries smaller loads with less weight up high.
Front protection
The Venom TQ aluminium triple loop bull bar adds protection without the weight penalty of steel. For self-recovery, choose the bull bar and Black Venom winch bundle.
A sharper front end
The Black Venom OP mesh grille gives the Tank 300 a more aggressive face while keeping airflow to the radiator.
Fix the rear door sag
A full-size spare on the rear door is heavy, and over time it can cause the door to sag. The Venom TQ heavy-duty tyre carrier is designed to take that load and stop the problem, which is especially handy if you upsize tyres.
Lighting
LED roof pod lights for the Tank 300 add wide, close-range light for tracks and camp.
